How to Earn Everyday Rewards Points

Everyday Rewards points can be earned with six partners in New Zealand as of December 2024. These are listed below…

  • Woolworths
  • BP Fuel Station
  • G.A.S
  • Milkrun
  • Petstock
  • Vineonline
  • ASB Bank

Earn with Retail Partners

The seven partners include six retailers and one bank. BP and Woolworths are the biggest partners. You can and earn in-store and online wherever applicable with all brands. Everyday Rewards has member only specials too, such as grocery and fuel discounts. Always check the homepage of the app for ‘boosts’ – bonus point offers.

At Woolworths, earn 1 point per $1 spent. However, you can earn a lot more by using the boost features on Everyday Rewards’ easy to use app. (i.e. earn 200 bonus points for spending $10 on fruit – offers renew weekly)

TIP: New Zealand Everyday Rewards members can earn points at Australian Woolworths stores too, just like you do in NZ.

At BP and G.A.S Fuel Stations, earn 1 point per litre of Fuel and 1 point per $1 at the BP shop, cafe or car wash. Your 6th coffee and car wash will also be free.

Petstock, Milkrun and Vineonline are all online retailers, and you simply enter your Everyday Rewards code at checkout.

Earn Using ASB Credit Cards

ASB is Everyday Rewards’ bank partner. ASB credit card holders can choose to earn Everyday Rewards instead of True Rewards points. Everyday Rewards can provide better value as your ASB rewards of choice, so choose which to earn wisely. ASB have a sign up offer bonus of 2,000 Everyday Rewards points when you start earning Everyday Rewards.

  • ASB Visa Rewards: Earn 1 point for every $2 spent, plus 2,000 bonus points every 6 month
  • ASB Visa Platinum: Earn 1 Everyday Rewards point for every $1 spent
  • ASB Visa Business Rewards: Earn 1 Everyday Rewards point for every $1 spent

Comparison: Earning Airpoints – New World vs Woolworths

For comparison, New World’s earn rate of Airpoints is 1 Airpoint per $125 spent, so you need to spend $1875 to earn 15 Airpoints. At Woolworths, $2000 spent will therefore earn you 15 points. If you use the boost feature (there is almost always one you can use), $1800 spent would equal 15 Airpoints (if assuming a 200 point boost – can vary).

Most of the time, shopping at Woolworths will earn Airpoints faster, providing you use boosts.

Hence why the boosts are very important to take note of. Always check the Everyday Rewards app before completing a big shop at Woolworths.

Everyday Rewards Q&A’s & Tips

There are still many Everyday Rewards questions I still haven’t answered. Here are a few more, let me know yours in the comments…

Do Everyday Rewards Points Expire?

Yes. Everyday Rewards points will expire if you do not earn, use or redeem your points/dollars for a period of 18 months. Just make sure you have a transaction in your Everyday Rewards account once every 18 months, easy to do.

How to Gift or Transfer Everyday Rewards Points to another Account?

Go to ‘Profile’, then click ‘Your rewards choice’, then click ‘Gift points to another member’. The form will ask you to add the recipient’s rewards number, and how many points you will transfer. Then click submit. Very easy.

How do I get a Physical Everyday Rewards Card?

If you wish to order a physical Everyday Rewards card, click ‘Profile’ (top right corner), then click ‘Order rewards card’. From here, you are redirected to an order form where you enter your postal address. A physical card and postage is FREE.

How to Add Everyday Rewards Card to Apple Wallet/Google Pay?

Adding your Everyday Rewards card to Apple Wallet or Google Pay will make shopping so much quicker. To do this, go to your card in the app, then the prompt to add your card is below. Click the prompt, and your Everyday Rewards card will be in your wallet.

Are Everyday Rewards the same as Flybuys?

No, Everyday Rewards is not the same as Flybuys. In New Zealand, Flybuys is closing down after 30 years, whereas Everyday Rewards is a new loyalty program. In Australia, Everyday Rewards and Flybuys are completely separate.

How do I contact Everyday Rewards NZ?

Call the Everyday Rewards Contact Centre on 0800 969 337 (NZ).

Bottom Line

Everyday Rewards hasn’t even completed a full year of operating in New Zealand, and from what I’ve seen in Australia, there is HUGE potential.

Now that Flybuys NZ has shut down, Everyday Rewards is here to (sort of) replace it. All I can say is sign up asap.

You’re going to need to have a Everyday Rewards card ready. This was so after my mother came home a few days ago complaining her shop at Woolworths was incredibly expensive. This is because most groceries on special were only for Everyday Rewards members, so she paid full price.

With the number of Everyday Rewards partners expanding, also make use of the sign up bonuses to huge point bonuses. See these on the discover page in the app.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store next for Everyday Rewards. The part I’m most happy about is the ability to earn Qantas points when shopping in New Zealand again.

This will increase competition between Air New Zealand and Qantas. So maybe, just maybe, Everyday Rewards will continue to lower prices and increase rewards.
